Dr. Mike Arthofer
Dr. Arthofer is a Diagnostic Radiologist and has been an active medical staff member of Presence St. Joseph Medical Center since 1988. He was board certified by the American Board of Radiology in 1988.
He completed his medical school training at Rush Presbyterian St. Lukes Medical Center in Chicago, a radiology residency at Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago, and a one year fellowship in Body Imaging at Rush Presbyterian St. Lukes Medical Center in Chicago.
He is the president of the Joliet Radiological Service Corporation and has been Medical Director of Imaging Services for over 5 years. He has served on several medical staff committees including Medicine, Orthopedics, and the Committee for Clinical Initiative and Performance Evaluation.
Dr. Brian Fagan
Dr. Fagan has been on the Medical Staff at PSJMC since 2006. He completed a Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology residency and Vascular and Inteerventional Radiology Fellowship at Northwestern Memorial hospital. Dr. Fagan is a diagnostic and interventional radiologist with special interest in Body and Muskuloskeletal MRI.
Dr. John C. Groch
Dr. Groch has been a radiologist in private practice in the Chicago area for 23 years, including 12 years with Joliet Radiological Service Corp. Though he spends a large portion of his time performing community based general radiology, he has received fellowship subspecialty training in MRI, Ultrasound and CT imaging. He is a graduate of the University of Illinois College of Medicine. He completed an internal medicine internship at Weiss Memorial Hospital and a diagnostic radiology residency at Michael Reese Hospital, both in Chicago. He then completed a imaging fellowship at Rush University Medical Center
Dr. Mickey Jester
Dr. Jester is a board certified radiologist who joined JRSC in 1992. Her area of expertise is breast imaging and intervention. She has served as Medical Director of Imaging and served on all major medical staff committees multiple times. She was a medical staff officer twice and the 2006 Physician of the Year. She remains an active member of the Co-Management team for the Women’s Center and Medi-spa at the Healing Arts Pavilion in New Lenox

Dr. Andrew Johanek
Dr. Johanek a board certified diagnostic radiologist who completed residency training at the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 2007. Dr. Johanek completed fellowship training in 2008 at Childrens Memorial Hospital in Chicago and holds a subspecialty certificate in Pediatric Radiology.
In addition to his interest in Pediatric Imaging, Dr Johanek also has a special interest in Radiation Safety, Cardiac Imaging and Musculoskeletal Imaging. He works hard to obtain the highest quality pediatric images with as little radiation exposure as reasonably achievable, often recommending alternative modalities such as ultrasound or MRI.
Dr. Johanek has served on the Medicine Committee at Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center and is currently sitting on the PSJMC Pediatric Committee. He strives to provide a level of service and expertise in Will County and the southwest suburbs that was previously only available in academic tertiary care centers.
Dr. Sasan Payvar
Dr. Payvar is a neuroradiologist and has been an active medical staff member since 1998. He is a board certified radiologist and has a certificate of added qualification in neuroradiology with recertification in 2007. He practices in all aspects of diagnostic radiology, but has special interest in spine intervention procedures such as image guided spine biopsies, kyphoplasty, and discography. He has served on multiple hospital committees including neuroscience and credentials committees.
Dr. Joshua Tepper
Dr. Tepper is a Board Certified Diagnostic Radiologist and fellowship trained Interventional Radiologist. He specializes in minimally invasive procedures including uterine fibroid embolization, chemoembolization, dialysis intervention, and kyphoplasty.
Dr. Tepper earned his medical degree and a general surgery internship at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. He completed his Diagnostic Radiology residency and fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
He has been on medical staff at Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center in Joliet since July 2010. He is a member of the Internal Review Board (IRB), Cancer Committee, and is Director of the Vein Clinic. He is the principal investigator at Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center for the EVOLVE research trial on kyphoplasty.
Dr. Ed Bruno
Dr. Bruno is a general radiologist and been an active medical staff member since 1987. Although he is board certified for life, he voluntarily took and passed the recertification exam given by the American Board of Radiology in March 2013.
He is a past president of the Joliet Radiological Service Corporation and a past Medical Director of Imaging Services. He has served on multiple medical staff committees including Medical Executive, Quality, and Bylaws.
Dr. Terry Kushner
Dr. Kushner is a Board certified radiologist with over a 30 year commitment to Joliet Radiological Service Corporation. While fellowship trained in Nuclear Medicine at Rush University, he also has been a contributing member in developing a Women’s Breast Imaging Center of Excellence at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center.
Over his tenure he has served several terms on Medical Executive and various departmental committees.
Dr. Noah Schwind, MD.
Dr. Noah Schwind is the newest member of Joliet Radiological and recently completed both his four year Diagnostic Radiology residency and one year Vascular and Interventional Radiology fellowship from Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago. Dr. Schwind completed his undergraduate and medical school training at The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio before moving to Chicago to continue his medical training.
The addition of Dr. Schwind to Joliet Radiological’s division of Interventional Radiology will help further the practice’s depth and scope of procedures offered at Presence St. Joesph Medical Center. His interests include interventional oncology, vascular access, as well as multitude of minimally invasive procedures utilizing image guidance.
Alex Wu, MD completed his Diagnostic Radiology residency training at Cleveland Clinic and one year of Neuroradiology fellowship at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Dr. Wu earned his medical degree from Chicago Medical School, RFUMS after graduating from University of California, Irvine and a year of research.
Dr. Wu specializes in Neuroradiology and has clinical interests in brain tumors, pediatric neuroradiology and gadolinium contrast agents.
Raj Vasnani, MD completed his four year Diagnostic Radiology residency at the University of Chicago and one year Vascular & Interventional Radiology fellowship at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Dr. Vasnani completed his medical school at George Washinton University after graduating from Duke University and a post-baccalaureate at Harvard University.
Dr. Vasnani specializes in dialysis access maintenance, arterial intervention for the treatment of peripheral arterial disease as well as minimally invasive treatments for cancer.
